Between his experience in teaching marketing at several universities and his practical experience in marketing research and advertising in St. Louis and Boston, Al has a diverse and balanced background. Al began consulting projects in 1987, with initial clients from a variety of industries, however it was travel that captivated him. For the past 25 years, Myriad has specialized exclusively in the travel industry. Al’s efforts are focused on creating strategic solutions to client challenges, coordinating travel industry partnerships and overseeing Myriad’s growth. Always the teacher, he also conducts marketing presentations throughout the world.
Mike PriceExecutive Vice President
Mike is a marketing graduate from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Before becoming involved in travel, he worked in market research for A.C. Nielson. He then worked for one of Australia’s largest tour companies, Australian Pacific Tours, before transferring to Los Angeles to oversee their American wholesale and retail operation. Mike has a broad and successful record in all areas of the travel industry and has been part of the Myriad team since 1995, responsible for strategic planning for clients, client liaison and account development.
Asher HungVice President, Creative Director
With more than 20 years experience in travel marketing, Asher generates ideas and guides fellow creatives in concept, execution and production. He also engages in client relationships and advises on marketing and creative strategies. Management of creative resources and facilities, company branding, and strategic business growth or efficiencies also fall under the responsibilities of this title. His travel and tourism work includes a worldwide brand campaign for South African Tourism, rebranding the Signature Travel Network, a top U.S. travel consortium, and campaigns and design for the British Virgin Islands, Princess Cruises, Cunard Line, Lindblad Expeditions, Costa Mesa CVB, Macao Government Tourism Office, Rio de Janeiro CVB, Papua New Guinea, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, MGM Resorts, numerous tour operators, health care tourism and museum exhibitions. Asher holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Center College of Design.
Julie Averay CuestaVice President
A graduate from the University of South Australia, Julie holds a Bachelors Degree in Management with a major in Tourism Marketing. During her almost 20 years in the United States, Julie has worked for the South Australian Tourism Commission and Jetabout/Qantas Vacations. As Marketing Manager for these organizations, Julie was responsible for the formulation and execution of a variety of sales and marketing initiatives, including wholesale/retail training, trade shows, liaison with airline partners, sourcing special interest markets, instigating advertising campaigns and organizing trade familiarization. Julie has been with Myriad since 2001, and heads up the New York Office. She is responsible for the execution of trade sales and marketing, advertising, promotion and public relations campaigns for a variety of Myriad’s accounts.
